Here's the AberMud? Drivers Tree. Much of this is pure guesswork on my part.

The earliest publically available code appears to be AberMud? III but zipped up and labeled as AberMud? II. I don't know what or where FreeDirt? is. Maybe vapourware or another name for pDirt?
